Etihad Airways has just appointed Hareb Al Muhairy, Mohammed Al Bulooki and Haitham Al Subaihi to executive positions within the airline.
Hareb Al Muhairy was moved from his previous position as vice president sales UAE for Etihad to his new role as senior vice president corporate and international. He will now be responsible for external and internal corporate communications, international corporate affairs, media relations, and corporate social responsibility. He will also be tasked with strengthening relations with key governmental and regulatory organizations worldwide through the work of the international and public affairs team.
Muhairy joined Etihad Airways in 2004 after studying political science and management at the UAE University in Al Ain, later earning his master’s degree in strategic and security studies in 2015 from the National Defense College. Muhairy is also a board member of Abu Dhabi Media Company, Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council, Abu Dhabi National Hotel Company, and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Cultural Authority.
Etihad appointed Mohammed Al Bulooki to the position of vice president commercial UAE, where he will now be responsible for UAE sales, Hala Travel Management (HTM), the destination management company Hala Abu Dhabi, retail operations, Etihad Holidays and the airline’s tourism research and partnerships function.
Before accepting his new appointment, Bulooki served as chief commercial officer at Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC). He has also previously occupied a number of key Abu Dhabi Airports Company posts, including vice president Al Bateen Executive Airport and vice president, airline marketing and aeronautical revenue. He began his career in 1998 at GAMCO, now Etihad Engineering, as an apprentice aircraft engineer.
Bulooki holds a degree in air transport engineering from City University in London, as well as a diploma in aircraft engineering from Abu Dhabi Men’s College and has taken courses by Airbus, Boeing, IATA and Harvard University.
The previous head of UAE sales for Etihad Airways, Haitham Al Subaihi, has now been appointed to the role of vice president UAE sales.
Subaihi began his career with Etihad Airways in 2007 as a graduate management trainee, later serving as business development manager for North America in 2009, based in New York. Subaihi eventually returned to the UAE to accept a position as manager sales – government.
Subaihi has also served as vice president sales Central USA, based in the airline’s Washington, DC, office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Richmond American International University in London.
