Experience “A New Way to Hotel” in Mexico, thanks to the new AC Hotel Guadalajara. The hotel, developed and owned by Fibra Hotel and operated by Marriott International, marks the first arrival of the design-driven brand in Mexico.

The hotel is located within the arts and financial district, not far from the city’s main cultural attractions, making it the ideal place to stay for a new generation of travelers looking for the authentic Guadalajara experience.

The hotels structure was designed by Sordo Madaleno Architects, leading architects of high-end residential and award-winning hospitality projects.  Influenced by its European roots (thanks to AC Hotels extensive success and start in Europe), AC Guadalajara exhibits a modern yet elegant and timeless design. Guestrooms incorporate shades of gray and brown with clean, modern lines and wood flooring. The minimalistic furniture designs create a vibe of greater space, perfect for comfort and luxury. The hotels interior was designed by Jihei Aoki.

For a place to grab a drink, we suggest trying the AC Lounge. A twist on the traditional hotel bar, the AC Lounge includes local artisanal beer, specialty wines, signature cocktails and tapas. Adjacent to the Lounge, guests will find the AC Kitchen, serving European-style continental breakfast with freshly baked croissants, artisanal Serrano ham, egg tarts and Nespresso coffee, among other treats.

The hotel’s poolside lounge and infinity pool, on the 12th floor open-air sky deck, offer some of the best views of the city. Also in the sky deck is a state-of-the-art fitness center for guests to utilize for workouts.

For the bookworm, you have to visit the hotel’s AC Library. Perfect for business meetings, connecting with friends or just taking some you-time, the library at the AC Guadalajara has a selection of books curated by Nigel Barker, specifically for the Mexican property.

AC Hotel Guadalajara celebrated its opening recently with a party appealing to a variety of senses, including a gallery of lifestyle and design photography, which was shot, produced and hosted by renowned photographer and entrepreneur Nigel Barker. Also, a bespoke pattern, inspired by the architecture of the hotel, was incorporated throughout the event by local fashion design entrepreneurs Children of Our Town and there was a “Live Gin Competition” hosted by two well-known local mixologists “Fat” Armando Alarcon and Bruno Guerrero who created signature drinks for the party.

Most recently, two AC Hotels debuted in Rio de Janeiro just prior to the Olympic Games. During the coming months, additional AC Hotels will open throughout Latin America, including Mexico City, Panama and Santiago, Chile.
