Fiji's Laucala Island Offers Wedding Perks

With its exclusive new wedding experience, Laucala Island is stepping up its nuptual options in the Fijian archipelago.

The wedding package is available for six guests and includes an official wedding certificate and celebrant, standard flower decorations, choir and serenades, a bottle of Crystal Roederer for the welcome cocktail party and a special dinner arrangement. (Cool touch: Executive Chef Anthony Healy will create personalized dishes for the wedding party.) Couples can tailor ceremonies to tie the knot in an intimate reception on the beach at sunset, or alongside family and friends in the Fijian village chapel. (Tip: The village, replicated on the island with the assistance of scholars, showcases the indigenous Pacific Islands culture and provides an impressive stage for ceremonies, dances and weddings.)

Even better, Laucala is offering couples an outing to Tadra Beach, (“dream beach” in Fijian), a private beach accessible only by boat, catamaran or Jet Ski. The beach is available for only one couple at any given time, so the couple can relax with an intimate picnic or go snorkeling off Seagrass Bay. Back at the resort, the couple can get a 90-minute spa treatment and then go on a complimentary sunset cruise with champagne onboard the luxury sailboat, Rere Ahi. (Just to make it special, the cruise will conclude with a barbeque dinner at the guest jetty, complimented by a bonfire and serenades.)

Laucala Island has 25 private villas, a Par-72 Championship golf course designed by David McLay Kidd and activities like beachside horseback riding and scuba diving and snorkeling with Fijian experts.
