First Look: Air France Opens New Lounge at New York's JFK Airport

VIPs flying from New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport will want to see Air France's fully renovated lounge this week in Terminal 1.

Exclusively reserved for customers traveling in La Première, Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus members, the lounge has some sweet perks that we expect will make trans-Atlantic travel much more comfortable.

What's new and exciting? The new lounge has a large mezzanine where guests can look out over the runways. Two buffets serve hot and cold snacks, as well as plenty of Champagne (of course), French wines (bien sur!) and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests can also sample French cuisine made with local, fresh produce.

At the heart of the lounge, a relaxation area with subdued lighting lets guests unwind before boarding. A Clarins well-being area offers beauty treatments free of charge. Customers also have access to shower stalls complete with Clarins products.

Those who wish to stay connected can get online with free Wi-Fi access, and local and international publications are available throughout the lounge in both French and English.

Perhaps best of all? La Première customers receive a personalized welcome on their arrival at New York-JFK airport. They are accompanied to the lounge, where a VIP area is exclusively reserved for them. In this private area, located on the mezzanine, they can have a meal created by Joel Robuchon and served by a Maitre d’Hôtel.
