First Look: The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

Florida-philes are eagerly awaiting the upcoming Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, and with good reason: The hotel seems poised to bring a new level of luxury to Walt Disney World, and to offer top new perks for travelers (think an 18-hole golf course and a spa that we're hearing will be "world-class.")

The hotel will be located within the gates of a residential community, Golden Oak at Walt Disney World Resort, which is surrounded by a natural everglades sanctuary, so we expect it to have a calm and relaxing vibe. (A nice antidote to the energy of the parks, we say.) It will have three restaurants, including a rooftop steakhouse with views of the nightly Magic Kingdom Park fireworks show. Parents, kids and single grown-ups alike will have their choice of on-site swimming options, with a family pool, lazy river, two waterslides and a splash pad available for kids (and kids-at-heart) and a dedicated adult pool for those who want a more laid-back experience.

Then there's that golf course: Tom Fazio designed the Osprey Ridge Golf Course, an existing 18-hole championship course, and it is now being renovated and will subsequently be managed by Four Seasons.

And the spa: We hear it will be on the larger side, with 20 treatment rooms (two of which look out onto the tree-lined landscape--great for relaxing with nature), an experience shower, an ice shower and a private patio with a plunge pool.

Here's a tour of the hotel to whet the appetite:
