The Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara in the United Arab Emirates has announced an exclusive collection of ten royal villa accommodations.
The Royal Pavilion Villas by Qasr Al Sarab are set against the dramatic landscape of The Empty Quarter – the world’s largest stretch of uninterrupted sand desert, less than a mile from the main resort.
What makes it special? We hear that welcome signature touches include exclusive transport from Abu Dhabi or Dubai Airport to the resort (even better, guests can choose from private limousine or helicopter transfers), a reception from each guest’s personal villa host and a traditional UAE falcon experience upon arrival. Guests staying at the Royal Pavilion Villas by Qasr Al Sarab will also be welcomed with a traditional Arabic tea tasting and Arabic-inspired Afternoon Tea set, followed by a personal escort to their Royal Pavilion Villa for an explanation of amenities, facilities and dining options, all followed by a foot ritual to ease the stress of travel.
Each of the 10 villas has a swimming pool, outdoor rainforest showers, sunbathing cabana, terrace dining and lawned areas as well as the main Pavilion with a Porte Cochere, a welcome Lounge, The Dining Room, The Lounge, The Terrace, The Workout Room and the Spa.
Foodies, take note! Each overnight stay includes culinary presentations for breakfast, lunch and dinner including soft beverages. On arrival, guests can meet with the Chef to talk through their preferences, hear details about the ‘market list’ items fresh for the day and have a tailor-made meals created exclusively for them. (We hear options can range from fresh Canadian lobster to Japanese Wagyu beef to simple club sandwiches...because some days, you just don't want something as fancy as Canadian lobster or Japanese Wagyu beef.)
Evening cocktails are served daily at the guests’ choice of either The Lounge or The Terrace, both offering top views of the desert sands.
Guests staying at the Royal Pavilion Villas by Qasr Al Sarab can also take part in two activities per guest per night stay, from camel-riding in the dunes, hard and soft dune drives and the ever popular dune bashing, archery, desert walks, desert land sailing and fat biking, as well as the falcon and saluki show. There is also complimentary access to the tennis and basketball courts throughout the stay, as well as a dedicated private gym within the villa resort.
A purpose-built Spa has been included in the main Pavilion offering a variety of treatments for both individuals and couples. The Spa has a private relaxation terrace with gardens.
