Fontainebleau Miami Beach Announces Two Sales Department Promotions

Fontainebleau, a Miami Beach resort, has announced the promotions of Louis Gonzalez and Jackie Payano to new posts as assistant directors of group sales. In their new roles, Gonzalez and Payano will mentor and shape the sales team to develop new accounts, grow market share and oversee management of key accounts while maximizing occupancy and the average daily rate of the hotel.

A 25-year industry veteran, Gonzalez began his career in banquet and convention services. He then served as director of national accounts at Boca Raton Resort and as senior sales manager at Marriott International’s Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami. Most recently, Gonzalez was a director of national accounts at Fontainebleau.

Over her 15 years in hospitality industry, Payano has held numerous sales roles, most recently as a director of national accounts at Fontainebleau. Previously she served as national sales manager at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla. She began her career with Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, climbing the ranks from front desk agent to sales manager at the Sheraton in Edison, N.J., and later opening the Sheraton in Overland Park, Kan.
