Four Seasons Marrakech Gets Pop-Up Speakeasy Bar

Fans of TV's Boardwalk Empire (or of old-fashioned, romantic bars with a hint of mystery and danger) will want to swing by the new pop-up bar concept at the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech.

To access the Last Call Speakeasy Bar (which will be located on the first floor of the Bleu d’Orange Pavilion), guests will go through a back wall behind a laundromat created for the occasion. An access code is required by a laundry attendant to be able to enter the bar. (The code will be provided each week on the bar's Facebook page.)

Once inside, the retro-style bar has old-fashioned brick walls and dim lighting to evoke New York or Chicago in the 1920s. A casino corner with poker tables and black jack lets guests try their luck, while numbered vintage telephones assigned to each table encourage intimate conversations. (Please, put cell phones away! Don't ruin the vibe!) The cocktail menu of Champagne, gin, whiskey and rum, is signed by famous London and Milan bartenders. Onstage, jazz singers, saxophonists and DJs all perform, inviting customers to "swing" to Charleston music.

The bar will be open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am.
