Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan Launches New Family Suites, Kids for All Seasons Facilities

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan has announced the unveiling of brand-new Family Suites, said to be an ideal option for parents and up to two kids. The new accommodations provide a home base when exploring the island’s central highlands and the nearby cultural capital of Ubud.

The new Family Suite category is part of a major reinvention of Sayan accommodations. Last year saw the updating of all 42 free-standing villas, creating a look that is contemporary, while also more in touch with nature and more authentically Balinese. Recent renovations have transformed the collection of 18 suites, all located within the main resort building, offering views of the Ayung River valley and rice paddies.

The Family Suites encompass 190 square meters (2,043 square feet), all on one level, including two bedrooms, plus a living area with an outdoor terrace for dining. The master bedroom features a king bed, marble bathroom, a walk-in closet and a private terrace with two lounge chairs. The second bedroom is just off the living room and features a twin bed with another single bed that pulls out. This bedroom sleeps two children, or one child and a nanny. A bathroom with shower is adjacent.

The décor highlights natural and rustic materials derived from Bali, including traditional ikat fabrics, rattan, wood, coconut husk and mother of pearl, as well as Balinese handicrafts. Comfortable furnishings are featured indoors and out. In the master bedroom, the wall behind the bed is a carved wooden screen featuring a pattern of leaves and birds in front of a red background. The bed itself may be surrounded by a white canopy, giving parents their own romantic hideaway.

With their location in the main resort building, the Family Suites offer elevator proximity to the lobby, restaurants, spa and health club. The suites are also close to the recently unveiled Kids For All Seasons facilities.

Available for children aged five to 12 years old, the PiciPici Club (meaning “little snail” in Balinese) helps children connect with the Balinese culture through an array of adventure-based games, creative play, arts and crafts. Activities take place in two areas: the bright play center and the Rice Barn Tree House, tucked into its own jungle wonderland. Kids can take part in Balinese dance classes or learn the art of palm leaf folding. They’ll also find the latest books, board games, Nintendo Wii, PS3, iMac computers with internet and a plasma TV with DVD player and movie library.

The town of Ubud is just 15 minutes from Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan. Ubud is a bohemian community with art galleries and restaurants, as well as yoga and meditation centers.
