Four Seasons Resort Lanai's Unveil New Specialty Suites

One of the Four Seasons Lanai's Speciality Suites.

The Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii recently unveiled its new Speciality Suites, a collection of one-, two- and three-bedroom suites that include exclusive services and amenities.

Located on the second floor, the lavish three-bedroom Alii (Royal) Suite offers views of Hulopoe Bay – a marine sanctuary home to spinner dolphins, beautiful coral reefs and a wide variety of colourful fish.

The large suite (5,000 feet with three bedrooms; 3,984 square feet with two bedrooms) features a formal living room with adjoining powder room, media room with 85-inch platinum bezel LED TV as well as a separate dining room seating six.

Sleek, contemporary decor crafted with exotic materials is present in all rooms, including artisan-produced Nepalese lokta wallpapers and Honduran mahogany floors laid with hand-woven wool area rugs complemented by rich furnishings and customised artwork to create an elegant, serene ambience.

The suite features exquisite artwork including a Bronze Fish installation by Cypriot Yorgos Kypris - the elaboration of the fish form has been his focus for two decades - as well as pieces sourced locally from Wendy Kawabata, an artist and professor at University of Hawaii who uses artifacts, domestic materials, and the natural world as a point of departure, and limited edition prints by Maui artist Amanda Opsahl McConnell.

The one- and two-bedroom Hulopoe and Kapihaa Presidential suites, Shark’s Cove and Puupehe suites (1,280-1,462 square feet) offer ocean views, living and dining rooms, media centres, double Japanese soaking tubs, dual vanities and a vanity mirror television, and restful lanais complete with dining set.

As with other guestrooms, they include in-room technology, including intuitive lighting, controls for temperature, service and privacy, mini iPad Airs and wearable key wristbands.

The Palawai Suite, on the penthouse level of the main building, provides a luxurious and convenient experience. The large living area includes a sofabed and powder room, along with a dining table for four, an adjoining kitchenette and furnished lanai. This one-bedroom suite may be configured as a two-bedroom suite (2,961 square feet), resulting in two living rooms, in addition to two full bathrooms and one powder room perfect for ohana (family).
