Disneyland Paris Fetes 20th Birthday with Extravagant New Show

Disneyland ParisTo celebrate the big 2-0, Disneyland Paris will be introducing the granddaddy of all sound-and-light shows. Think dancing fountains and pyrotechnics displayed on 30-foot-tall water screens in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. A mélange of elements from the Magic, Memories, and You show at Florida's Magic Kingdom and World of Color at Disney California Adventure, this new nighttime spectacular will showcase Disney animated scenes set to an original musical score. To quote the Los Angeles Times, “Disney's Imagineers have electronically mapped the entire castle to allow video projections to wrap the exterior like a digital skin.” Starting in April, Disneyland Paris will also transform its daytime parade into a nighttime affair with all new costumes and choreography. The idea is to encourage visitors to stay longer in the park.

Located 20 miles outside of Paris and accessed by suburban RER train, the popular resort is comprised of theme parks, hotels, and an entertainment district with a bevy of dining options. For more information, see the website: www.disneylandparis.com
