Pop-Up Restaurant by Krug Champagne at La Samaritaine, Paris

Krug en Capitale, pop-up restaurant at La Samaritaine, ParisThe views from La Samaritaine, the famous Paris department that’s currently being transformed into a luxury hotel, are drop-dead gorgeous. Overlooking the River Seine at Pont Neuf, the LVMH-owned La Samaritaine is undergoing a dramatic 450 million-euro renovation, and therefore is closed to the general public. This is the exceptional setting for a pop-up restaurant by Krug Champagne from December 3-12, 2012.

For the second edition of “Krug en Capitale,” the Champagne house recruited Chef Emmanuel Renaut, the Michelin three-starred chef from Le Flocon de Sel in Megève, to create a multi-course menu paired with Krug Champagnes. Only 14 diners can be seated for lunch or dinner at the pop-up restaurant on the 5th floor, conceived by interior designer Mathias Kiss.
