Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa has announced it will be opening the new Palisade Ranch, an on-property ranch designed to provide a “western experience” for adventurous guests, on May 1.
Located in the red rock canyons of western Colorado, the property comprises 72 luxury guestrooms and suites, including 14 private casitas. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Western Colorado by horseback, drive cattle, learn to rope and discover what daily life was like in the Wild West. Palisade Ranch at Gateway Canyons Resort will also allow guests the chance to experience daily trail rides, ranching education, roping lessons and take a historic tour through the land where ranching families of the 1800’s worked to support the region’s mining industry.
The Palisade Ranch program offers one-, three-, or five-day packages, available through September 30, 2016, and include daily meals, activity credits, ranch experiences, a fireside cook-out, resort transportation, internet access, use of the fitness center and resort bicycles.
Additionally, for guests who are among the first to schedule a Palisade Ranch Experiences, Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa will donate a portion of the package to the Tug McGraw Foundation. Until April 30, 2016 guests booking a stay should mention “McGraw” when making Palisade Ranch reservations. Noble House Hotels & Resorts has partnered with the Tug McGraw Foundation because of its commitment to helping veterans re-integrate themselves in to civilian life.
Ross Bronson, Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa’s equestrian manager, will be responsible for overseeing the property’s day-to-day operations. Bronson is a 15-year veteran of the ranching industry and grew up riding and training horses in Southeast Idaho. He will also be involved in management of the property, having extensive experience through employment on many large cattle ranches in Colorado and Wyoming.
Other activities that will be offered at the resort include star gazing, afternoon drives in one of the property’s Bentley Supersport automobiles, visits to the Gateway Auto Museum and a variety of self-selected experiential activities.
