Gators and Friends Alligator Park and Exotic Zoo, located 10 minutes outside of Shreveport in Greenwood, Louisiana, has announced that it opened up a zip line tour of the park. In its first weekend, more than 30 visitors took the zip line tour. Since then, it has been a popular addition to the park.
The full-length zip line tour consists of seven segments that last approximately 45 minutes to one hour that takes the more adventurous guests through the woods, as well as over the exotic animals in the property. The zip line culminates in a final 720 foot side-by-side run over the alligators.
Half-length zip line tours are available and consist of four segments that last approximately 25 minutes.
Wearing closed-toe shoes is a requirement for all the guests. There is also a weight requirement, with a minimum of 50 pounds and a maximum of 250 pounds.
Group rates and birthday specials are offered.
Gators and Friends Alligator Park and Exotic Zoo’s operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily from May through August. The park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the other times of the year.
