Grammy Museum Mississippi to Open in November

CLEVELAND, Miss. (AP) — The Grammy Museum Mississippi will officially open its doors to the public on Nov. 14 on the campus of Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.

The announcement was made Thursday in a news release by officials with the GRAMMY Museum at L.A. LIVE, The Recording Academy and the Cleveland Music Foundation.

The museum will have more than 27,000 square feet and will feature interactive exhibits highlighting Mississippi's role in shaping American music.

Lucy Janoush, president of the Cleveland Music Foundation, says the museum tell the story of Mississippi's music history by way of public events, educational programming, engaging multimedia presentations, and interactive permanent and traveling exhibits.

Details regarding Grammy Museum Mississippi's opening events will be announced in the coming months.
