Grand Hotel Kronenhof, Pontresina and Kulm Hotel Have Winter Experiences

Grand Hotel Kronenhof, Pontresina and Kulm Hotel St. Moritz are launching a variety of experiential packages ranging from snow kiting through the Engadine to paragliding and charter helicopter rides. Their winter season begins on December 2 at Kulm and December 7 for Kronenhof.

Additionally, guests will have the chance to disconnect from technology with a “digital detox” at the Grand Hotel Kronenhof’s spa with special treatments and massages. The packages also include authentic gourmet Switzerland cuisine. 

Snow Kiting in the Engadine
Guests will learn how to kite ski across the frozen Lake Silvaplana or Lago Bianco (available between mid-January and mid-March).

Package includes: 

  • Three nights’ accommodation including half-board
  • Two private lessons with Silvaplana Kite Sailing School
  • AktiVital Massage 
  • Lunch at Le Pavillon or Chesa al Parc

Engadine from Above
To get a bird’s eye view of the alpines, guests can enjoy a guided paragliding experience or a Heli Bernina charter helicopter ride above the Engadine.

  • Tandem guided paragliding 
  • Round-trip with Heli Bernina 
  • Signature spa treatment of choice 
  • Lunch at Le Pavillon or Chesa al Parc

Digital Detox – Winter Edition (Grand Hotel Kronenhof, Pontresina only)

This itinerary includes personalized spa treatments and winter activities with Grand Hotel Kronenhof’s personal fitness coach, Susanne Staib. Guests will be asked to put down the cellphone (and all other digital devices) for a completely isolated and secluded experience.

  • Three nights’ accommodation at Grand Hotel Kronenhof including half-board
  • Haki purna treatment 
  • Detox bath and massage of choice
  • Guided ski yoga
  • Sunrise winter hike
  • Special vital menu

Alpine Adventure Days – Winter Edition (Grand Hotel Kronenhof, Pontresina only)
The Alpine Adventure Days allows guests to customize their winter adventure package. Guests can ski through the Engadine and experience one session of ice-climbing and ski touring. (Ski touring is a form of skiing where both uphill and downhill travel is possible without needing to remove skis.)
Package includes:

  • Five nights’ accommodation at Grand Hotel Kronenhof, Pontresina including half-board
  • Ice climbing 
  • Three tours: ski touring introduction, safety management, and ski touring up to peak Piz Palu where guests will have the opportunity to ride on the first cable car to Diavolezza mountain station
  • AktiVital massage
