Hôtel Majestic Barrière and Hôtel Gray d’Albion Barrière Cannes Continue Renovations

Lucien Barrière Hôtels et Casinos has announced plans to renovate its two Cannes hotels this winter, Hôtel Majestic Barrière and Hôtel Gray d’Albion Barrière Cannes. Architects Nathalie Ryan and Chantal Peyrat will lead the project.

Nathalie Ryan has designed a new cinema-inspired look for the Presidential Suite at the Hôtel Majestic Barrière. This "Mélodie" suite pays tribute to the film "Mélodie en Sous-sol" (“Any Number Can Win”) starring Alain Delon, in remembrance of the fact that several of the movie's scenes were filmed at the hotel. The new suite will be open in time for the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. The hotel is also renovating its 175 bathrooms.

The hotel’s renovation project also includes the enlargement of the Fouquet’s Cannes restaurant terrace, the re-organization of the restaurant’s bar area, as well as a new air-conditioning system in every room to improve the hotel's focus on sustainability.

At the Hôtel Gray d’Albion Barrière Cannes, the property's beach will get a new decor with white and grey tones and light wood, aiming for a Zen-like feel. It will offer international cuisine with Lebanese, Italian and Asian specialities. During the summer season, a bar-lounge on the sand will offer music. The space can also be booked for exclusive private events upon request.
