3RD Home is a private club for owners of luxury second homes that enables them to stay in premier private properties without the expense of renting. Unlike with traditional house swaps, 3RD Home does not require a direct or simultaneous exchange with another member, which means that travelers have an even richer list of home options to choose from.
How it works: By designating available weeks of time in their own second home for other memers’ use, members earn 3RD Home keys that can be used as currency to immediately reserve a stay at any other 3RD Home property. Different properties are worth different amounts of keys, so travelers can save up reserved keys to use at any number of homes.
The 3RD Home portfolio is home to more than 1,300 luxury properties in over 66 countries. Each home is worth an average of $2.25 million, with many surpassing $4 million. This diversity allows travelers to stay anywhere from expansive log cabins in ski destinations to luxury penthouses in urban landscapes around the world. All homes are prescreened to ensure quality.
3RD Home has a two-year membership fee of $495. Each time a member books a stay at another property a transaction fee of $495 is paid to 3RD Home, so often you will be staying at a multi-million dollar home for just $495.
