Aman Plans Foray Into South Beach

When The Miami Herald recently reported that the famed Aman hospitality group is heading to South Beach, the news quickly spiraled all over the Internet. Aman’s fanatical fans—self-professed “Aman junkies”—are quick to note any new openings, and this was no exception. The ultra-luxury brand announced a 2023 debut for the Aman Miami. Typically Aman resorts are found in tranquil settings surrounded by nature, but the brand is increasingly looking to expand into urban destinations, replicating the experience at the Aman Tokyo. In fact, the Aman New York is slated to open in late 2020 at the Crown Building in Manhattan.

As described by The Miami Herald, the Aman Miami will comprise a hotel and branded residences built on the site of the former Versailles Hotel at 3425 Collins Avenue, and serve as “the final piece of the Faena District.”

The Aman Miami is a joint project between the OKO Group and Access Industries, the private investment firm whose holdings include the Faena Hotel Miami Beach. This will be the fourth U.S. location for the Singapore-based Aman Resorts International, following Amangani in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah, and the upcoming Aman New York.

In other recent news from Aman, the luxury hotel group announced the Aman Private Jet, available for charter. Custom itineraries combine Aman properties around the world, like “Indochina Past & Present,” which showcases the culture and scenery of Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. (Note that the jet is also for use between non-Aman destinations.)
