ARCHER Hotel Comes to New York Next Year

Manhattan's Garment District seems like the perfect spot for a new boutique hotel. The new-build, luxury ARCHER Hotel will open next year on West 38th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

We hear it will have 180 guest rooms, a chef-driven restaurant and a rooftop bar, all with neighborhood heritage in mind (think exposed brick, steel and butcher-block flooring). Luxury touches include custom-designed furniture coupled with an art consultant's hand-picked pieces.

Fun fact: There will be an element of "guest room roulette," when travelers book, meaning they will not know which of the four room types they will get. The ARCHER rooms, of which there are 22, will have additional touches like wood floors and exposed brick wall at the head of the bed. There will be one signature suite that is in its final development phase.

All rooms will have custom furniture, a platform bed, bathrooms with a walk-in dual-head shower, 42-inch flat screen TV and more.
