Beer in Munich, Opera in Florence

Start warming up for Oktoberfest at The Charles Hotel in Munich. Beer lovers will delight in the Beer Garden Experience, which includes a picnic basket for two, bike hire  for the duration of the stay, and tickets to Munich’s new Beer & Oktoberfest Museum, housed in the city’s oldest residential building. There are plenty of beer gardens in Munich to satisfy your thirst, and with Oktoberfest coming up in September, this might be the perfect time to beat the crowd.

Hotel Savoy, Florence is also offering exclusive guest experiences. Guests can participate in opera-singing and art classes led by local tutors from the Accademia Europea di Firenze. The opera masterclass might just turn you into an opera-connoisseur, with a guided walk to the Pitti Palace, a lesson on the history of Italian opera, and a vocal lesson included. As an added bonus, guests can attend an opera including Rossini’s Il Viaggio a Reims or Puccini’s Tosca or Donizetti’s Anna Bolena at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. The art masterclass allows guests to choose from a lesson in the style of one of three famous Italian artists - Leonardo, Michelangelo or Caravaggio. the tour also includes a guided visit to see their work in the Uffizi Gallery.
