Boca Raton Resort & Club Announces Labor Day Programs

This Labor Day, Boca Raton Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort is holding special programs for members and guests. From September 1-4, guests can take part in events ranging from bocce to surfing.

Check out the schedule below.  

LOBSTERBASH

Friday, September 1 at 7:00 p.m.: The Police Experience, a tribute band to the music of Sting and The Police, will perform while guests enjoy hit songs such as “Message in a Bottle,” “Every Breath You Take,” and “Roxanne.” Additionally, the event will host an all-you-can-eat Maine Lobster and Seafood Buffet, with prime rib, chicken, and a deluxe open bar. The dinner and concert will take place in the Great Hall Convention Center.

Bocce Tournaments

Saturday, September 2 at 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Family Tournament) and 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Adults-only Tournament): Two friendly bocce tournaments will take place at Mizner's Monkey Bar located at the west end of the Cloister building.

Under the Stars at Beaches Bar

Saturday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.: Artist-in-Residence DJ Sam Pace will play music for guests to enjoy along with ocean breezes. Guests can enjoy signature drinks and a la carte bites served near the Atlantic Pool; DJ Sam Pace will play shows at the Poolside at the Beach Club and at Bar Luna (Note: this is adults-only).

Surf Expo at Shaka Bar & Grill and the FlowRider

Saturday, September 2 at 3:00 p.m.: The Surf Expo invites amateur and semi-pro competitors, with rider’s choice of surf or body board, to compete at the dual-sided FlowRider wave simulator. Members and guests can watch or compete for grand prizes. 

Reggae FunDAY at ShakaBar & Grill

Sunday, September 3 at 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Shaka Bar & Grill will host live music by Reggae Souljahs, a South Florida band that blends traditional reggae music with top 40 hits. In between surfing on the resort’s FlowRider, members and guests can participate in outdoor games on the FlowHouse lawn and enjoy the self-serve snow cone station.

Teens-Only Dive-In Movie

Saturday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m.: The Tower Pool will show a movie starting after sunset. Teens can grab a bite to eat at Serendipity or 501 East before settling into their seats – or inner tube – and enjoying the entertainment. 

Labor Day Mixed Doubles Round Robin

Monday, September 4 at 9:30 a.m.: Guests can enjoy a morning of tennis at Boca Raton Resort & Club, ranked one of the top tennis programs in the country by Tennis Magazine. The resort and club has 30 tennis courts (12 lighted), a full program of clinics, lessons and professional services and the Jimmy Connors Experience. 

Palm Breeze Charters

Saturday, September 1 – Monday, September 3: Members and guests are invited aboard the resort’s Catamaran for three experiential cruises. Tours include: 

  • Intracoastal Mimosa Mansion Tour – Saturday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 
  • Catamaran Evening Sunset Sail – Sunday, September 2 at 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. 
  • Sail Swim Intracoastal Lake Boca Catamaran Cruise – Monday, September 3 at 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Sunset Sail 

Sunday, September 3 at 6:00-8:00 p.m.: Guests can watch the sunset directly on the waters of Boca Raton Resort and Club on this luxury Catamaran Sail and intercostal cruise. Members and guests can enjoy food and drinks onboard.  

Sail Swim Fish Cruise 

Monday, September 4 at 1:00-4:00 p.m.:  This mid-day excursion includes a Catamaran cruise on the seas with all-you-can-eat (and drink) snacks and refreshments included. 
 
As an extension of Boca Raton Resort & Club’s Labor Day offerings, travelers can take advantage of the resort’s Long Weekender Package and Best of Boca Package for stays this August and September. The Long Weekender Package includes rates starting at $229 for a three-night mini-vacation and up to 50 percent off Sunday Night stays, while the Best of Boca Package includes: 

  • Overnight accommodations
  • Kids eat free (at select restaurants)
  • Access to Quest Kids Camp for the children to play
  • One hour on the FLOWRIDER per person, per day
  • Unlimited golf and tennis
