Classic Crazed: Two Nantucket Hotels Debut Vintage Cars

We are suckers for the classics (think Bogey, a chilled Martini and, of course, cars). We hear that two of Nantucket's most classic hotels, The Wauwinet and White Elephant are offering guests the opportunity to ride in a couple of the most classic vehicles of all time.

The Wauwinet will introduce the new Woody, a 1948 Chevy Fleetmaster Station Wagon, while the White Elephant debuts a 1939 Buick LaSalle convertible. Cool note: The 1939 Buick LaSalle is only one of 185 built that year.

The two new cars will debut during the Nantucket Daffodil Festival's Antique Car Parade, which begins at noon on Saturday, April 30.

The Woody will be available for Wauwinet guests to be driven on a tour of the "Sconset neighborhood or on a customized trip of the guest's choosing. The white LaSalle will serve as the White Elephant's courtesy car, dedicated to VIP service.
