The Delano Las Vegas has officially opened its gilded doors on the Las Vegas Strip. Execs and employees of MGM Resorts International and Morgans Hotel Group gathered to formally usher in the new non-smoking, non-gaming hotel.

The property incorporates a desert theme in its design, with a 10-foot tall, 126,000-pound divided boulder installation sourced from the Nevada desert greeting guests on arrival (let’s call it desert chic). The property has 1,117 guest suites, with each one-bedroom suite featuring a private bedroom and a spa-style bath. Each room also has a 46-inch flat-screen TV, wet bar, its own powder room and an adjoining living room. Delano Las Vegas also offers Panoramic Suites, Delano Penthouse Suites and the Delano Penthouse Lofts.

The hotel provides a number of culinary and beverage options. Guests can grab a hot drink at 3940 Coffee + Tea, which serves a range of teas, coffees and fresh-squeezed juices. Farm-to-table restaurant Della’s Kitchen uses locally sourced ingredients, including a variety from nearby hydroponic farms and Delano Las Vegas’ own greenhouse, which supplies herbs for the breakfast and lunch menus. Night owls will enjoy Franklin, which has a full bar of premium liquor and over two dozen craft beers alongside a selection of small plates ranging from fried pig’s ears to charcuterie. Franklin also hosts a variety of live entertainment throughout the week, including performances from up-and-coming DJs. Delano will also house two rooftop eateries, miX restaurant and lounge and Rivea, Delano’s French/Italian restaurant from Chef Alain Ducasse that will open in 2015.

The Penthouse’s master bedroom comes with a king bed and has floor-to-ceiling windows.

Guests looking to unwind can check out BATHHOUSE Spa. The two-story, 14,000-square-foot facility includes 13 treatment rooms, separate hot-and-cold plunge pools, hot whirlpools, eucalyptus steam rooms, redwood saunas, relaxation lounges, vanity rooms, a nail salon and gym.

Pets are also welcome in the hotel with a selection of dog-friendly suites, a dedicated doggie menu and butler services.

In 2015, Delano Las Vegas will introduce Delano Beach Club, a pool experience just steps from Mandalay Bay Beach.
