Four Seasons Resorts Lanai Debuts "Love Lanai" Cultural Experiences

Four Seasons Resort Lanai has debuted Love Lanai, a new series of tours, classes and culinary events designed to bring travelers closer to local life and culture.

Via Love Lanai, guests will experience Lanai's cultural/historical legacy, spanning almost 1,000 years of Hawaiian residency. In recent history, Lanai hosted an active ranch for 100 years, and for 70 years was the world’s largest pineapple plantation. Through tours, demonstrations and cultural experiences, travelers will be able to explore Lanai’s bio-cultural landscape, hear tales of its history and learn about wahi pana (storied and sacred places) across the island. Experiences from Love Lanai include:

  • Holoholo Outdoor Experience: Explore the island of Lanai. Go off-roading on a guided island excursion, go shoreline fishing and net throwing, or delve into island history on an excursion to a few of Lanai’s cultural and historical sites. Four hours; includes lunch. Reservations required.
  • Resort Cultural Tour: View the collection of Pacific artwork and cultural artifacts located throughout the resort, including remains of an ancient fishing village, with the resort's cultural advisors during this complimentary 30-minute tour.
  • Aina Ahiahi Hawaiian Dinner: Experience the foods of Hawaii, interpreted by the resort’s chefs, in an intimate setting comparable to a family dinner in a Lanai home. The dinners can accommodate up to six guests, reservations required.

Guests seeking to layer in land and sea activities can book the Discover Lanai offer and receive a daily activity credit of $200 per room ($400 per suite) and choose from a variety of land and ocean experiences.

Guests can also utilize the Lanai Guide to explore Lanai on their own and learn about the island’s storied places. Made by the Lanai Culture & Heritage Centre (LCHC), the mobile app includes audio files, interactive hiking and driving maps, photos from the LCHC archives and information on the varied historic landmarks and attractions of Lanai.

In other Four Seasons Resort Lanai news, the hotel has hired a new food and beverage director, Dan Mizrahi, who will oversee all food and beverage operations across the resort. His previous experience includes assisting as director of food and beverage at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach where he oversaw the opening of Florie's, a partnership with the three-Michelin star Chef Mauro Colagreco.
