Gurney’s Resorts to Debut New Montauk Property This Spring

Gurney’s Resorts announced it will introduce its second Montauk location this spring. Gurney’s Star Island Resort & Marina, formerly known as The Montauk Yacht Club, will debut following a $13 million renovation to its 107 guestrooms, restaurants, lobby, ballroom, meeting spaces and marina.

The redesigned property will offer a selection of casual and fine dining restaurants. Showfish, the centerpiece of the resort’s food program, will serve dinner and brunch. Nearly the entire menu will feature locally sourced ingredients, with seafood caught daily by local fisherman and most produce sourced from farms within 20 miles of the property. Il Forno Market will serve specialty gourmet pizzas, freshly baked goods, sandwiches and salads. The venue will also serve as a grab-and-go for both marina and hotel guests.

Guests at Gurney’s Star Island Resort & Marina receive access to three pools, a private beach, kid’s club and concierge services. Overlooking the 232-slip marina, The Pool Club features waterfront chaise lounge chairs, distinctive cocktails and a lunch menu. Those staying at the new property will receive complimentary shuttle service to and from Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa, as well as yacht and seaplane service to Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina in Rhode Island.

Gurney’s Resorts first expanded beyond its flagship Montauk property when it debuted Gurney’s Newport in 2017. Last year, it acquired The Montauk Yacht Club, and this spring it plans to reintroduce it as Gurney’s Star Island Resort & Marina following a major renovation.
