Denihan Hospitality Group has named Shan Kanagasingham general manager of The Surrey in New York. She joins The Surrey from the Viceroy Hotel Group having worked at The Tides South Beach as general manager and, most recently, as area general manager for both Viceroy Miami and The Tides South Beach. Prior to her work with the Viceroy Hotel Group, Kanagasingham worked with brands including Mandarin Oriental, Raffles and Ritz-Carlton.
Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita has named Todd Cilano general manager. Cilano first joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in 1995 in the rooms division. He arrives in Mauritius following 18 months as GM of Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano, Egypt.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is headed for new ownership. We hear that the hotel operator, whose collection includes The Carlyle in New York, will be acquired by Hong Kong-based New World Hospitality. We say expect Asia expansion. But fear not luxury travel advisors: management, we hear, is staying put.
