Hotel Monteverdi Joins the Monteverdi Tuscany Collection

The village of Castiglioncello del Trinoro, Tuscany has recently been restored and transformed, welcoming visitors from around the world. Monteverdi is a collection of luxury villas and a boutique hotel located in this medieval village. Monteverdi residences are built on foundations dating from the 11th century, restored to accommodate the modern traveler. Hotel Monteverdi, the collection's newest additon, will debut in August 2012.

The 7-bedroom Hotel Monteverdi has been designed with the help of regional artisans and local stone masons to create an authentic reconstruction of this former lodging. Italian designer Ilaria Miani and Ernesto Bartolini fitted each room with local woods, Tuscan flagstone, granite and Carrara marble. Guests will enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan region, as well as nearby wineries and La Foce Gardens. Hotel Monteverdi consists of 3 completed villas, a newly restored 12th century chapel, and the farm-to-table Caffe Monteverdi.

The luxury villas are available for weekly rent at Hotel Monteverdi, each equipped with a state of the art kitchen where a private chef will prepare authentic Tuscan cuisine. Villas range from two to six bedrooms and are available year-round.

Music lovers will be interested in heading to Monteverdi this summer for a series of music and cultural events. Travelers can head to the outdoor stage for the Sarteano Jazz Festival on July 19th or for classical tunes from a number of noteworthy artists. Visitors to Monteverdi, Tuscany will also have the rare opportunity to observe an active archeaological dig led by the University of Sienna.
