Hotspots for Chic Globetrotters

Armani Milano’s spa
Armani Milano’s spa is where globetrotters work off jetlatg in a serene setting.

Lia Batkin, co-founder of In the Know Experiences, says that Le Royal Monceau Paris“is definitely the new cool kid on the block and by new, I mean newly redesigned by French design wonder, Philippe Starck. It is just steps away from the Champs Elysees and everything about the hotel is more fabulous than the next.” Batkin cites the hotel’s arts library, its private cinema, and its “ultra-chic Le Bar Long” as her favorite elements of the hotel. She’s also a fan of its “top-rated spa, its creative restaurants, cool cigar bar, and its unique lobby store. And, its services are beyond any A-lister’s imagination.”

Jetsetting in India? You bet, says Batkin. “The Leela Palace [www.theleela.com] in New Delhi in the exclusive Diplomatic Enclave sets itself apart with five amazing restaurants, including outposts of New York City staples, such as Megu and Le Cirque,” she says. “The hotel is fresh and modern with gorgeous crystal chandeliers throughout and a never-ending infinity pool on the roof that allows you to see the entire city.”

Erina Pindar, director of SmartFlyer, chooses the Armani Hotel Milano for her jetsetters. “It’s in one of the chicest areas of Milan and anchors the world-famous Quadrilatero della Moda. The hotel’s seventh-floor lobby is home to the stunning Armani/Bamboo Bar, easily one of the hottest bars in the city, serving up delicious craft cocktails and a DJ spinning on weekends. Upstairs on the eighth floor is the gorgeous Armani Spa featuring a glass-enclosed relaxation pool overlooking the city of Milan.”

Pindar also loves the Fullerton Bay Hotel, one of Singapore’s newest properties.“The unbelievably sexy rooftop pool is a sight to see on its own, but add that with the view from Lantern, Fullerton Bay’s rooftop bar overlooking the Marina Bay waterfront, and you’ve got a winner.”

Tiffany Dowd (aka@LuxeTiffany), founder of Luxe Social Media, favors The Dolder Grand in Zurich, Switzerland. “It’s my favorite city resort located just above Zurich with magnificent views of the city, the lake and Alps,” says Dowd. “The modern Dolder Grand Bar, with its glamorous suspended ceiling candle lights, is the perfect spot to enjoy a Saffron Mojito or trendy sake cocktail while listening to the nightly piano player.”

On St. Bart’s, it’s the Beach Bar at the Hotel Guanahani & Spa for Dowd. “This is a fabulous hotspot for the stylish set to sip champagne or savor a refreshing signature cocktail made with local rum. Hotel Guanahani brings island charm with colorful cottages, a Spa by Clarins and a gorgeous oceanfront pool with casual poolside dining at L’Indigo,” she adds.

Another Caribbean jetset pick for this social media expert is Parrot Cay by COMO, Turks and Caicos. “Spend the afternoon by the infinity pool overlooking the sea and quench your thirst with tropical cocktails at the Lotus bar, then head to the COMO Shambhala Retreat for total pampering,” Dowd advises.

In Barbados, it’s Sandy Lane for the stylish jetsetters, reports Dowd. “The Monkey Bar is the place to be for evening cocktails. While the white sand beach with vibrant pink chairs and umbrellas is a popular spot, you won’t want to miss working on your tan by the pool,” she says.
