InterContinental Moorea Resort Inaugurates Deep Nature Spa

Weary of winter? Allow us to distract from the cold and grey by focusing your gaze on the turquoise water and white silky beaches of French Polynesia. It’s here, in the tropical idyll of Moorea, that InterContinental Resorts—one of the first hospitality companies to settle in the archipelago, now with four luxury resorts across Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea—recently inaugurated the Deep Nature Spa.

Surrounded by lush vegetation, the spa at InterContinental Resort And Spa Moorea has been designed as a serene, verdant retreat comprising more than 1,600 square feet. Deep Nature, founded 15 years ago, is a spa brand offering natural cosmetics made from Icelandic lava, seawood, clay and minerals. Deep Nature can be found in numerous luxury hotels across France, in destinations like Chamonix, Cannes, Paris and Megève.

The resort's new spa also showcases products by Varua te Ora, featuring local Polynesian ingredients like vanilla, pineapple and Tiare flowers. The spa menu offers a wide range of treatments inspired by ancient Polynesian techniques; think volcanic stone massages, tropical body wraps and traditional Polynesian baths. The signature treatment, specially designed for the spa, is a 90-minute bamboo massage called Painapo Bliss. Note that the spa also offers couples treatments, nail care and dedicated treatments for children aged six to 12 years.

The InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa offers a range of accommodations, including overwater bungalows, and a wide variety of water sports and recreational activities. The resort is committed to the environment, housing the educational Moorea Dolphin Center, the Sea Turtle Care Center, and the headquarters of marine conservation organization Te Mana o Te Moana.
