Kimpton's 70 Park Avenue Wraps Multi-Million Dollar Renovation

Kimpton's 70 Park Avenue in New York has a brand new look for spring. The hotel has just completed a multi-million dollar renovation giving its 205 guest rooms and suites and living room-style lobby a colorful and modern look. A new fitness center was also built.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Vice President of Design Ave Bradley and Studio B Design Principal Anna Busta collaborated to give the hotel "a fun and flirty color palette of pinks, purples, chocolate brown and metallics." Created to be a pied-a-terre for the young-at-heart nomad, the guest rooms are outfitted with modern art pieces, from inspirational messages above the beds by Tanya Aguiniga to modern, mixed metal installations by Jay Raveling and Kamil Beski from Los Angeles. Other touches include soft bedding, reading lights and a new flat-panel TV.

The hotel already has an in-house Retail Therapist who helps out-of-towners shop like a local. In celebration of the hotel's new look, the Retail Therapist will be offering "color consultations" this summer, helping guests shop smarter. Advice is complimentary and available to all who inquire either by email in advance of a stay, or in person at the hotel.
