La Siesta Central to Open in Hanoi In Mid-August

Hanoi, Vietnam will soon be opening a new lakeside hotel: La Siesta Central Hotel.

Set to be located on the border of Hoan Kiem Lake in the Old Quarter – the city’s centuries-old hub of commerce – the hotel will mark its grand opening on August 15.

Owned and operated by Vietnamese hotel brand Elegance Hospitality Group (EHG), the new property – which was converted from a historic private dwelling by EHG chairman Do Van Dan, an architect who “takes a leading role in the design of all the properties under the group’s umbrella” – will host 19 rooms and the exclusive La Siesta Spa.

All rooms at La Siesta Central come with a walk-in rainforest shower, though there are several room types to choose from. These include the Junior Suite Lake View and the Premium La Siesta Suite Balcony.

At the spa, there will be an extensive menu of treatments and massages, “many based on traditional Vietnamese healing methods,” the hotel said in a press release. To give the space a cool and calming atmosphere, the walls of the seven treatment rooms will be simply donned in a white and black theme.

There will also be on-site dining, where guests can enjoy Vietnamese and other international cuisine. The Red Bean will be the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, while the Twilight Sky bar will offer a selection of cocktails and other premium drinks and spirits.
