The Luxury Collection Launches New Reges Resort in Çeşme, Turkey

The Luxury Collection is launching Reges, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Çeşme, in Turkey. The name of the new property is derived from the Latin word for king: Rex. Appropriately, when viewed from above, the two buildings comprising the hotel resemble a crown. Encompassing a natural cove, Reges, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Çeşme, is spread across more than a mile of Çeşme’s Boyalık Bay.

Here is a glimpse at what The Luxury Collection's third hotel in Turkey has to offer.

King Reges Retreat Guestrooms

The 93 guestrooms and 11 suites have top-to-bottom windows with sweeping views of the Aegean Sea. The guestroom design, reflecting the location, is detailed by gold-dipped leaves, peacock feathers and jacquard patterning with splashes of turquoise. The en-suite bathrooms are formed by locally sourced marble and fuse traditional elements of fretwork and gold fixtures with modern touches such as rainfall showers and signature Byredo bath products. Other notable amenities include flatscreen TVs and systems which personalize temperature and lighting preferences.

Cuisine

Places to eat include:

  • Safran: At this restaurant, local and seasonal mezze cuisine is dished out. The food incorporates ingredients and techniques from all over the world.
  • Hemera: At this contemporary pan-Asian kitchen, guests can bid for the best catch of the day during a weekend auction of fresh fish and seafood.

Additionally, the resort offers immersive culinary experiences through its series of Epicurean Moments. Because the Çeşme peninsula is known as a wine-making region, the resort regularly hosts a series of wine and cheese pairings, grape harvesting experiences and olive oil tastings. Other cultural experiences, from curated tours of Çeşme Castle and the Alacati Windmills to a tour of nearby Ephesus, have been designed by the concierge team to highlight some of the best particularities of Çeşme and beyond.

Wellness

Spa Reges, spanning over 15,000 square feet, offers a menu of signature treatments that have been developed by studying regional rituals and wellbeing. The spa consists of six treatment rooms, a traditional Turkish Hammam, a sauna and a steam room.

Airy cabanas, with indoor and outside spaces, are peppered around two turquoise swimming pools and a private beach. There is also 24/7 fitness suite. To stay active outdoors, guests can go wind and kite surfing. (Çeşme is ideal for these activities due to its shallow waters and strong breezes.)

Meetings and Events

Four dedicated meeting rooms are adorned in a neutral palette and kitted out with modern technology for boutique meetings and break-out sessions. The resort's outdoor spaces, with a capacity for over 300 guests, offers opportunities for al fresco wedding parties.

Owned by Reges Turizm Inşaat A.Ş., Reges joins a collection of over 110 hotels and resorts in more than 30 countries and territories. This hotel joins the brand's existing properties in Bodrum and Ankara.

In other Marriott news, the company is collaborating with developer BPM Real Estate Group to open The Ritz-Carlton, Portland. This would bring The Ritz-Carlton brand to Portland and the Pacific Northwest for the first time.
