Luxury Travel Expo 2011 Begins Tuesday, December 6

Luxury Travel Expo 2011 starts tomorrow at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Featuring over 25 educational sessions, the new Wednesday Learning Luncheon and a Thursday Morning Power Hour, the show will feature networking opportunities with more than 500 luxury suppliers from around the world.

This year’s show will kick off with our popular General Session at 3:45 p.m. There the ever-popular Nancy Friedman will return with “Seven Traits that Define a Dynamic, Successful Luxury Agent.”

The show will also feature more than 25 learning sessions with case studies and firsthand tips from suppliers and peers. On Tuesday, CLIA will host a pair of three-hour seminars, including a brand-new “Specialty Cruising” session and the return of the popular “Local Public Relations Techniques: How to Maximize Your Agency’s Visibility.” Also new this year is “Social Media 202: You Know ‘How’ But Do You Know ‘What’s Next’ or ‘Best’?”

Wednesday will boast product knowledge sessions and “He Said, She Said, They Said” with Robert Romano of Fugazi Travel Agency and Valerie Wilson of Valerie Wilson Travel reporting on “Islands of Adventure: The Most Pampering Hotels and Resorts Worldwide.” Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience our new Wednesday Learning Luncheon, entitled “Sailing into 2012: Luxury Trends in Cruising.” Wednesday will also see the presentation of our Leaders in Luxury Awards.

Finally, Thursday Morning Power Hour will feature topics on increasing your bottom line and how to offer more vacation options to affluent clientele.
