Maybourne Hotel Group Names Jim Bishop Director of Sales Americas

Maybourne Hotel Group, which manages Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley hotels in London, has announced the appointment of Jim Bishop as the regional director of sales for the Americas. Bishop joins the Maybourne team from previous positions held at the Mandarin Oriental, the Bellagio Hotel, KSL Resorts, The Waldorf=Astoria Hotel and Four Seasons Hotel New York.

As Regional Director of Sales for The Americas, Bishop will be responsible for managing, positioning and selling Maybourne Hotel Group in the North American and Latin American markets.

Prior to joining the Maybourne Hotel Group, Bishop served as Senior Sales Manager for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s (MOHG) Washington, D.C. and Miami properties where he developed new business and maintained key client relationships in the group segments in Northeast U.S. for the MOHG’s two largest group properties in the Americas. He was honored at MOHG with the 2008 Legendary Sales Award as the top achieving sales person within MOHG in the Americas. He also received the Mobilize Award from 2007 to 2011, which recognizes the sales colleague who refers the most business to sister MOHG properties each year. Prior to his time with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Bishop held the position of Regional Sales Manager—Eastern U.S. for the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Bishop's past experience also includes work with KSL Resorts, The Sullivan Group, Waldorf=Astoria, and the Four Seasons.
