The Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit recently launched two exclusive offerings for respective niches of guests.
Teens Spa Day
The first, a teen-centric spa day at the resort's Spa at Grand Velas. With the package, 13-17 year old girls can enjoy a full day of pampering including hairstyling, a manicure and pedicure, access to the spa's hydrotherapy circuit and a snack and beverage bar. Post-glam, the teens can partake in a photoshoot with DreamArt Photography. Teens will also receive a fashion piece; either garments or jewelry designed by a Mexican contemporary artist.
Relationship Celebrations
Another exclusive offering at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit caters to couples. With Relationship Celebrations, guests celebrating long-term commitments can take advantage of a symbolic ceremony on the beach, voluntourism, native Huichol rituals and other romantic offerings.
The Huichol ritual includes all-white attire, musicians playing traditional songs, and a Marakame (Huichol shaman priest) to lead the rite. The couple will walk around a fire burning with copal incense, flowers and feathers to purify their souls and then join hands to pray for good fortune.
For couples looking to celebrate their commitment by giving back to the community, the resort has partnerships with several local Mexican organizations. Oportunities include: CANICA, an organization that provides assistance to children with cancer; Desarrollo Integral de la Familia, a social assistance program that focuses on strengthening the welfare of Mexican families; and Casa Hogar, which provides sustenance and shelter to orphans.
Relationship celebrations include: strawberries and champagne upon arrival, 24-hour concierge, in-suite flowers, a symbolic beach ceremony, sparkling wine for toasting, a cake with the couple's names, a 50-minute couple's massage, and breakfast in bed the morning after the ceremony. Fireworks, drone footage, live streaming to the web, a social media coordinator, additional live music, hair and makeup, flowers and more can be set up for an additional cost.
