InterContinental Washington D.C. — The Wharf Opening This October

Big news out of the nation's capital: InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf, slated to open October 2017, will open as the only luxury property in The Wharf, D.C.’s highly anticipated new mixed-use waterfront community. 

Nestled along a one-mile stretch along the historic Potomac River, the waterfront InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf will have 278 guestrooms, including 33 executive suites, inspired by the neighborhood to showcase a unique blend of contemporary style, sophistication, and sustainable design. The new property will also include a state-of-the-art fitness center, a rooftop pool boasting views of the D.C. skyline, a 4,250 square-foot spa, over 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space, as well as multiple dining concepts including a signature restaurant. 

The hotel’s waterfront location will showcase D.C.’s history and provide a place for travelers and local alike to gain a new appreciation for the nation’s capital. 

Accommodations
InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf will will have 278 luxury guest rooms, each of which will feature state-of-the-art touch panel technology and spa-inspired showers, as well as 33 executive suites including a two-story Presidential Suite with panoramic views of the Potomac River. Select rooms also have Juliette balconies as well as grand billiard tables in some of the larger suites.  

Culinary

InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf will be home to three signature restaurants and bars, including an upscale rooftop restaurant and bar, poolside bar and grill and restaurant helmed by a notable local chef. 

Meetings and Groups
InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf will offer over 17,000 square feet of event space, including 11 unique meeting rooms, and multiple ballrooms that will have waterfront views and natural light.

Location

The Wharf neighborhood stretches over a mile along the Potomac River, covering 24 acres of land and 50 acres of water. Residents and travelers can enjoy monumental views, the oldest continuously-operating fish market in the U.S., and 75 shops and restaurants.
