New Luxury Tented Camp Slated for Myanmar

Myanmar is still hot, for those who were worried. We just received word that Apple Tree Group is shooting for an April 15 soft opening of a tented luxury lodge in the heart of historic Bagan.

Located on the banks of the Irrawaddy River, the property will have 85 air conditioned rooms in three categories. (Tip: We hear the Deluxe Tented Rooms are the largest.)

The camp's restaurant, the Tiffin Box, will serve up a range of cuisine from Burmese to western. Afternoon tea is served in the Lobby Lounge and the Pool Bar offers up snacks and cocktails.

The Lodge will also feature a 20-meter pool, spa and travel desk for guest to book excursions and onward flights.

From the camp, travelers will be able to reach a collection of temples in Bagan, like the Ananda Temple and the Shwezigon Paya.

From Myanmar guests can fly on to Hanoi, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Doha, Taipei, Kumin, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Bangkok
