Out West: Ranch at Rock Creek Montana

Ranch at Rock Creek

Looking for rustic chic? We hear The Ranch at Rock Creek doesn’t disappoint. The Ranch, on 6,600 acres of rolling Montana countryside, is currently in its soft-opening period and readying for a grand May debut.

The hotel has nine luxury rooms in the Granite Lodge. Guests also have the option of the Trapper Tent, which we hear is perfect for couples. It’s a half-cabin, half-tent accommodation with a private hot tub (BYO bearskin rug). There are also two private homes—the five-bedroom Bear House and the three-bedroom River House—and a Bluebird cabin, a 1,000-square-foot cottage with its own mini-spa and spacious front deck.

Care for a little glamping? The hotel offers 550- to 790-square-foot luxury tents pitched on the banks of Rock Creek. The Granite Lodge also houses a communal great room, dining room, 2,100-square-foot spa and the Silver Dollar Saloon, which is great for games, dancing and even bowling.

The spa consists of five treatment rooms and a menu of massages and facials—a great way to unwind after a full day in the ranch. Nuptial Note: Brides-to-be can opt for the spa’s special pre-wedding day package.

Getting There: The Ranch at Rock Creek is just over an hour’s drive from Missoula and Butte.
