Posh in Paris

Paris is poised to get a new La Réserve hotel this year, and we say the upcoming La Réserve Paris is a good pick for those who want to experience Paris’ art and culture scenes…and the nearby shopping, bien sur. (Good to know: The brand has been around for a while as luxury apartments, but the hotel will be a new addition in a different neighborhood.)

So what makes the hotel special? Maybe it’s the views over the Grand Palais, the Eiffel Tower and the Pantheon. Or it could be the landscaped entrance with trees along the Avenue Gabriel and the gardens of the Champs-Elysées. Or maybe it’s the private library for guest use alone. (Perhaps a combination of everything!)

Classified as a hôtel particulier (classic stately residence), the hotel’s 40 suites and rooms are meant to evoke an old-fashioned club. Jacques Garcia’s interior design uses intense colors (black, gold and crimson) in the public spaces and softer hues in the suites.

Other perks: The hotel will have a long pool, and a spa with three treatment rooms.

No general manager has been announced as yet. Facira Mercenier is the general manager for the La Reserve furnished apartments, which are located at 10 Place du Trocadéro and 3 Avenue d'Eylau.
