Rosewood Guangzhou Opens in Southern China

Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of Rosewood Guangzhou, the brand’s second urban outpost in mainland China. Situated in the heart of Guangzhou’s cosmopolitan Tianhe District, the new luxury hotel is located on the top 39 floors of the 108-story CTF Finance Centre, the 7th tallest building in the world.

Within this sky-high urban hotel, guests will discover an artistic and contemporary design inspired by the city’s industrial innovation. In addition to the 251 guest rooms and suites, the property will host extended stay apartments, a spa and fitness center, a collection of venues and a wide variety of dining experiences.

Here’s a look at what guests can expect:

Guest Rooms and Suites

Rosewood Guangzhou’s 251 guestrooms, including 31 suites and four duplex suites, start from 180-square-feet in size. Each room has been designed to feel like a private residence, providing earthy color palettes with pops of soft rose and space for working and resting. Design details include leather-wrapped headboards, custom brass knobs, blue lacquer accents and travertine-clad bathrooms. Most accommodations overlook the Pearl River, providing views of the Tianhe district and metropolitan area.

One of the hotel’s signature suites, the Rosewood Terrace Suite, provides guests with a private terrace. Meanwhile, the Xi Guan House stretches across two floors with an open kitchen, private Jacuzzi and extensive dining spaces for entertaining. Suite guests provided exclusive services throughout the stay, including access to the Manor Club executive lounge and personal butler service.

Extended Stay Apartments

In addition to the hotel’s guest rooms and suites, the property will also introduce Rosewood Residences Guangzhou. The 355 serviced apartments span from studios, one and two-bedroom apartments to ultra-luxurious duplexes.

Designed with long-term stays in mind, each Residence includes convenient amenities, such as in-room washing machines, as well as a full kitchen with an oven and dish washer. Rosewood Residences guests have the option to add additional benefits and services, including private elevator access, butler service, a personal chef, shopping assistants, grocery delivery, drivers, catering and more.

Dining

Rosewood Guangzhou will offer seven dining concepts, with each restaurant occupying its own terrace.

Lingnan House, the hotel’s Chinese restaurant on the fifth floor, will serve traditional Cantonese cuisine created with locally sourced ingredients. Brick Lane on the sixth floor will provide guests with a casual setting with a mix of seating areas across the tavern-like space. Here, guests can enjoy pub food, such as hibachi-grilled skewered meats and vegetables, or sit down at the craft beer bar. Another culinary highlight is Brick Iron, which is located on the 107th floor. Guests can dine on Japanese cuisine, including everything from sushi to sashimi, teppanyaki, sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. On the 95th floor, Patina Living Room and Patina European Brassiere & Terrace provides an all-day concept, beginning with pastries and coffee in the morning, followed by tea in the afternoon. In the evening, the Living Room transforms into a spot for pre- and post-dinner drinks. The adjoining brassiere’s menu will focus on European-inspired cuisine with an emphasis on seafood. On street level, Sesame acts as a grab-and-go eatery and patisserie as well as a deli with daily specials.

Venues

Rosewood Guangzhou aims to cater to all sizes and styles of events, from weddings to corporate business meetings. Facilities include three galleries, two VIP rooms, one Bridal Room, five meeting rooms, a 958-square-meter Grand Ballroom, and the Sky Mansion on the 108th floor.

Sky Mansion will feature a VIP suite, private bar, open kitchen and outdoor rooftop terrace with panoramic views, while the Grand Ballroom acts as an ideal venue for weddings and special occasions providing reception space for up to 700 guests. Rosewood Guangzhou also has a team of personalized wedding consultants and coordinators who are on hand.

Sense, A Rosewood Spa

The fitness center will have several fitness programs and services to help guests reach their personal goals, such as yoga, group classes, nutrition consultations, personal training and physiotherapy.

Rosewood Guangzhou’s spa will offer guests a variety of treatments with trained therapists. Additionally, the spa’s water facilities will feature temperature therapy pools, steam rooms and salt rooms that can be enjoyed before and after treatments.

As part of its health and fitness program, Rosewood Guangzhou will offer Wellness Club memberships to long-stay guests and local residents. The membership includes access to the spa and fitness center as well as a private club lounge where members can find healthy meals and a juice bar.
