Switzerland’s Hotel Eden Roc Renovates Suites for Summer

Located on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Ascona, Switzerland, Hotel Eden Roc is getting in the summer spirit. Just in time for the season, the luxury hotel has unveiled a “Garden of Eden” concept throughout the property. Think floral decor, new menus, flower-accented cocktails and outdoor lounges overlooking the mountain-fringed lake. What’s more, Eden Roc will host outdoor summer events including a Gelato Festival, film festival and Chestnut Festival. (The hotel's first annual Flower Festival already took place in May.)

To celebrate the summer, the Eden Roc has also unveiled a renovation of its three Grand Suites. Decorated with new contemporary furniture by Ticino-based designer Carlo Rampazzi, each suite has two bedrooms, a light-filled living room and spacious bathrooms. The suites’ sun terraces offer sweeping views over the lake. Want to take an excursion on the water? The Eden Roc offers three luxury charter boats: Riva Rivale, the classic Riva Aquarama and the Saffier Yacht.

That’s not the only news for the luxury hotel. Starting in August 2019, Simon Spiller will take over as general manager at Hotel Eden Roc. Previously, he served as hotel manager of Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, and his career has also included posts in properties across Asia, Africa and the United States. Hotel Eden Roc is part of the privately-owned, family-run Tschuggen Hotel Group, which also includes Tschuggen Grand Hotel Arosa, the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz, the Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona, the Albergo Carcani in Ascona and the Valsana Hotel & Apartments in Arosa.
