To the Spa: Ayana Resort and Spa Bali Unveils New Treatments

Ayana

AYANA Resort and Spa Bali, one of Indonesia's uber-luxe locations to renew, is getting a rejuvenation of its own. We hear the resort's Thermes Marins Spa has recently unveiled four new signature treatments that blend ancient healing with modern techniques and (nice touch alert) have been designed exclusively for this resort.

The new signature treatments include:

Hot Shell Massage: Sand is used to exfoliate the feet before the massage begins. An array of seashells are warmed and used to relax muscles as well as strategically placed across the body to help balance energy. The therapy ends with a restorative shell facial massage.

Lava Stone Reflexology: This treatment blends different cultural techniques from Chinese meridians massage to European pressure points. It begins with a ceremonial footpath, leg massage and foot reflexology complete with Lava stones from the Balinese mountains. It is capped off with a shoulder, neck, arm and hand massage.

Ayana Fusion: A combo of deep tissue strokes, acupressure, stretching techniques and steamed herbal pouches, this therapy helps relax muscles, relieve tension and joint pain, open pores and stimulate blood flow.

7 Chakra Dhara: To increase bloke flow and relax muscles, this therapy begins with a genuine Ayurvedic massage. To unblock and balance the chakras, seven aromatherapy blends are used. The treatment ends with a marma face and scalp massage with chakra tuning to relax your body through sound.
