Two California Hotels Embrace Flexible Work Trend with Summer Packages

According to the Department of Labor, companies offering flexible work from home days increased 24 percent in 2015 and they expect this trend to continue to grow. Two southern California hotels The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa and The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, decided to take advantage of these statistics and created weekday packages designed to spark creativity, provide resources, and increase productivity.

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, California has created a “Writer’s Block” package designed to inspire the creative types to relax and rejuvenate in order to write the next big piece. Package components include:

  • Two-night stay on Author’s Row, a special group of suites, which have housed legendary writers like Anne Rice
  • Aromatherapy sprays and Bubble bath accoutrements  to clear the mind and relieve stress
  • Unlimited coffee credit at the hotel only (redeemable at the Mission Inn Restaurant, in-room dining and Presidential Lounge) to stay energized
  • $25 poolside dining credit to relax after work
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi 
  • $309 per night, including taxes available Sunday through Friday

At the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, guests can take their Summer Fridays on the road with their “Remote Stationpackage providing all of the resources needed to work hard from a remote location. Guests will receive a “Punch Card” distributed upon arrival that offers access to a remote work station with:

  • Work table equipped with charging stations
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi 
  • $10 Starbucks card to stay alert all day
  • Access to the property’s “Itsy Bitsy Library” room supplied with books, magazines, and resources to stimulate creativity
  • Early noon check-in and late 2 p.m. check-out
  • $100 resort credit
  • Rate starts at $199 per night; minimum two-night stay; with a minimum three-night stay starting on Thursday, receive a rate of $99 per night
