Waldorf Astoria Announces Four New Hotels Set to Open 2014

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has announced four new hotels for 2014, and we've got the details.

Last week, the Waldorf Astoria launched a new advertising campaign, "The Stories Begin Here." The following are the four properties the hotel brand will be opening in 2014:

  • Waldorf Astoria Beijing (opening January 2014) – Located in Wangfujing, one of the most recognized addresses in China’s capital, the 175-room hotel is the brand’s second hotel in China. Interiors are by Yabu Pushelberg. The hotel features an all-day dining venue, specialty restaurant and two bars, indoor swimming pool, fitness and business centers, large ballroom and spacious meeting rooms.  
  • Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem (opening February 2014) – Located just a short walk from the Old City, the building (built in 1929) was meant to be a showpiece of Arab architecture in Jerusalem. It houses 226 rooms, three restaurants, a rooftop bar, Waldorf Astoria Spa and a massive ballroom.
  • Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah (opening March 2014) – Built on the east side of the Crescent of the Palm Jumeirah, this 320-room hotel marks the entry for the Waldorf Astoria brand in Dubai. The hotel features a 21,527-square-foot health club and spa, nine F&B outlets, including all-day dining, three specialty restaurants, two lounges and two destination bars.

  • Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam (opening April 2014) – The 93-room hotel is a conversion of six historic canal-side buildings in the heart of the central zone of Amsterdam, a recently declared UNESCO World Heritage site. The Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam will house a grand ballroom, three spa treatment rooms, an indoor spa and fitness area and seven meeting rooms. On the F&B front, there will be a Peacock Alley, a restaurant serving international cuisine that will overlook the Courtyard Garden, the Tea House that will serve the Courtyard Garden and the VAULT Bar, which will be built out in the hotel’s building former banking vault.
