Guest rooms and suites in the Hartford Wing were expanded and given a complete redesign. Additionally, the resort is introducing the ultimate beachfront experience with the new infinity-edge Ocean Pool and Ocean Pool Grill.
Once the private estate of A&P heir Huntington Hartford II, the aptly named Hartford Wing was fully renovated, with guest rooms and suites increasing by 110-square-feet, offering expansive terraces or balconies, and providing views of the ocean and resort gardens—a first in the resort’s more than 53 years of welcoming guests.
Each of the wing’s 52 guest rooms and suites also received new, custom-designed furnishings, fabrics and color schemes that amplify the distinctive palette of The Bahamas from cerulean blues to aquamarine and the bleached white of Bahamian sand. The bathrooms have been transformed with the addition of Whitewood, as well as Bianco Dolomiti, separate bath and rain showers, and double vanities. The Hartford Courtyard was also completely redesigned allowing for a luxurious, relaxing lounge. All guests of the Hartford Wing are serviced by the resorts’ butlers.
The new, 125-foot-long, beachfront, infinity-edge pool at One&Only Ocean Club will come with amenities offered hourly by the Pool Concierge team, including treats such as house-made lollipops and refreshing spritzers.
Alongside the Ocean Pool is the brand new Ocean Pool Grill, helmed by Executive Chef Gal Kozer. Here, guests can indulge in dishes made with the freshest hand-picked local and imported ingredients such as Spiny Lobster with Herbed Butterto a variety of family-style sharing platters including a Fresh Seafood Platter with James River oysters, local lobster, Florida stone crab, prawns and tuna sashimi, without leaving the comfort of their beachfront daybed. Live poolside entertainment will celebrate the change of day and spectacular sunset Thursday-Saturday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m.
