The James Chicago Offers Special Lollapalooza Perks

Headed to Chicago for this year's Lollapalooza festival in August? Here's a way to turn the event into a VIP weekend at The James Chicago. The boutique hotel is close to the music festival at Grant Park, and will be offering some fun perks throughout the weekend including hotel packages, VIP perks, restaurant and bar offerings and special events.

Travelers can book a stay in The James' Loft or Apartment suites with the “Lollapalooza Plus Perks” package, which includes cocktails upon arrival at the Primehouse Bar, two three-day transit passes, American breakfast for two at David Burke’s Primehouse as well as a special welcome amenity.

All guests who check in over Lollapalooza weekend beginning on Friday, August 1, will receive a custom James Lollapalooza care package including all festival essentials, while supplies last.  Guests will receive a James backpack filled with sunscreen lotion, complimentary FRED water and a custom water bottle to keep hydrated throughout the day...and ibuprofen packets are available from the concierge for the early morning hours.

In all guestrooms over the Chicago festival weekend, guests can watch special Lollapalooza video reel with fan-favorite performances throughout the years. Created by music curator and producer Jared Dietch, The James’ common areas will have a continuous playlist with “best of” tracks from top Lollapalooza artists. Upon check-in, The James will also share with guests via Facebook (JamesHotels) and Twitter (@JamesHotels) a specially crafted 50-song Spotify playlist of 2014 Lollapalooza players to get them excited for the weekend ahead.

Bonus: On Sunday, August 3, in partnership with nonprofit Common Threads, The James will host the popular “Very Important Rocker” V.I.R. event, in partnership with Kidzapalooza.  Featured acts including Ralph’s World, Brady Rymer, Happiness Club, and Laura Doherty & Jeanie B from the Kindie Allstars will perform exclusive acoustic sets while Common Threads hosts healthy eating demos with giveaways before and after the concert.  All families are invited to attend with a $10 suggested donation per family to support Common Threads for admittance.
