Jetset Report: Hong Kong Airlines Offers "Sweeten You Up" Service for Newlyweds

sweeten you up marriage proposalHave a pair of lovebirds headed to the skies? Hong Kong Airlines has announced a new "Sweeten You Up" inflight service aimed at newlyweds or couples celebrating their anniversaries, birthday and children.

As part of the new program, passengers can organize an inflight marriage proposal while onboard. Those who are planning to celebrate their marriages, anniversaries or to give surprises to their loved ones inflight can place an order prior to their flight departure. Then, Hong Kong Airlines crew members will present a specially designed Greeting Card to the couples.

As an extra treat, couples can also order "Sweeten You Up" cake an champagne services. 

Additionally, passengers traveling on their birthday and on flights departing from Hong Kong will receive a "Sweeten You Up" Birthday Theme Boarding Pass Envelope with a specially designed Birthday Pin and Hong Kong Airlines Chocolate Box, allowing them to experience pre-boarding privileges starting from the check-in counter. Onboard, passengers with the pin will receive birthday greetings from staff, who will present a specially designed Birthday Greeting Card signed by the captain and cabin crew. The birthday passenger will also be invited to enjoy Hong Kong Airlines VIP lounge "Club Bauhinia" with their companions and try the Polaroid instant photo service. Cake and champagne can also be arranged for the birthday passenger. 

Hong Kong Airlines has also launched new services for children passengers. Children seven to 12 years old traveling with Hong Kong Airlines for the first time can receive a "Travel Journal" and one sticker from the check-in counter at Hong Kong International Airport. Any child who collects 3 or more stickers and journey boarding pass stubs by June 30, 2016, will have a chance to join a tour of the airline's aircraft and airport facilities. The "Travel Journal" also offers games, as well as the chance for children to keep a record of their journey. Finally, a special Kid's Meal for those 12 and under is now available during the flight.
