International Hospitality Enterprises (IHE) recently announced it has appointed Jorge Collazo as regional director of sales and marketing for the highly anticipated Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, set to open in Puerto Rico on December 1.
With the promise of bringing luxury and sophistication back to San Juan, the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel will offer five-star accommodations, two restaurants and pools, dedicated Beach Butler service, and Puerto Rico’s first Hammam, part of a comprehensive onsite spa.
As regional director of sales and marketing at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, Collazo will create and oversee the hotel’s annual business and marketing plans, coordinate sales activities throughout the resort, work to maximize hotel revenue and expand corporate accounts, and develop marketing and sales campaigns.
“After 20 years in U.S.-based hotels, this is an exciting new chapter for me, and I am honored to be coming home to Puerto Rico to help restore such a historic and renowned property with the amazing team at IHE,” Collazo said in a written statement.
A veteran of the hotel business and native of Puerto Rico, Collazo started his career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where, for more than 13 years, he held various positions, such as sales manager and director of revenue, before being appointed to the position of director of sales and marketing for the brand in 2008.
