José Feliciano to Headline Upcoming Dubrovnik International Wine & Jazz Festival

Love jazz? Love wine? Headed to Croatia next month? Be sure to check out the Fourth Dubrovnik International Wine & Jazz Festival while in the seaside town: We hear that international music legend José Feliciano will be the main headliner for the festival, playing two concerts in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The festival will run from September 25 to 28, with concerts held around the historic Old Town Dubrovnik (think the Rector's Palace, in front of the Dubrovnik Cathedral and more). José Feliciano, an iconic guitar player and singer and Grammy laureate, will perform two concerts during the festival: a VIP exclusive event scheduled for September 26 at the Dubrovnik Sun Gardens hotel and a second in front of the cathedral accompanied by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and conducted by maestro Michael Kissinger on September 27.

More interested in wine than jazz? No worries. The festival will show off local wines by Vina Vukas, Vinarija Miljas, Korta Katarina, Crvic Vineyards and Mokalo-Bura Vineyards. Good to know: The south Croatian wines from the nearby Peljesac peninsula are regarded as some of best Croatian reds, featuring the Plavac Mali variety. Attendees will be able to sample the vintages for two hours before the concerts and at intermissions at Rector’s Palace which will also display art from local artists.
